About

St Anne’s Church has been on this site since 1714 seeking to bring the good news of the Gospel to this wonderful part of South West London. At the heart of our life is the Eucharist, and everything radiates from there. Our mission is to be Christ-centred, faithful, inclusive and outward-looking.

This is a traditional parish church. We come together in all shapes and sizes: young and old, gay and straight, from many different backgrounds and life experiences but choosing to worship together as one church family. This is a place where we value our diversity and where all are welcome.

We worship in a beautiful building. The preaching is really important to us. The music is great. We love traditional hymns – but also, now and again, the ones that the children learn at school.

There is a lively Sunday school. We also meet together to read the Bible, and every month Father Giles does one of his popular deep dives for those who want to go a bit deeper into the theology of the church.

Given our proximity to Kew Gardens, it is unsurprising that we try to be an environmentally friendly church and take practical action to care for God’s earth through our worship and teaching; consideration for our buildings and the churchyard. We have achieved our bronze Eco Church medal and are working toward silver.

This is an exciting and busy church. There is always something going on. Do come and see. You’d be most welcome.
