Children and families

Little Annies

Little Annies is our Sunday School for children aged 3-11 led by parents and other members of the congregation. The groups meet during the 10.00am Sunday service. Children wishing to participate arrive in church for the start of the 10.00am service and, after a short time, process up the central aisle together before going to their activities in the church hall. Parents of younger children are welcome to accompany them.

Children and accompanying parents return to the church in time to receive the blessing or eucharist and participate in the final part of the service. Before the service ends, the children come together to the front of the nave to show their work to the congregation.

Little Annies follow a plan that reflects the church’s year and the teachings from the Sunday readings, with appropriate texts, songs and activities.

Junior choir

Children from the age of seven who enjoy singing and taking an active role in worship at St Anne’s are belong to our thriving junior choir. Choir practice takes place at St Anne’s every week. After an initial period as a probationer, a child is admitted as a full member of the choir in a short admission ceremony. Our junior choristers join the main choir at the 10.00am sung Eucharist on the first Sunday of the month.

Currently the junior choir is at capacity but please contact the Junior Choir Leader, Marion Goodgame, if you are interested in learning when there may be opportunities to join in the future.

Junior servers

We welcome young people from year five upwards to our team of servers.
